  • Family info.
I’m married to Debbie Cade who teaches 6th and 7th grade science at the Middle School. We have 4 grown girls who are all out of the house (Empty nesters and loving it!). We are expecting our first grandchild in December. We have one cat named “Oreo.” Our family has lived in Washington State, Texas, Kansas and Oaxaca, Mexico.

    Education
Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (science emphasis) from Lamar University (Beaumont, Texas); Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from Heritage University (Toppinish, Washington); and a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics from Biola University (Los Angeles, California). I previously taught science at the Middle School and High school level and have 6 years of counseling experience with four being here at Warden Elementary.

    Hobbies/Things I like
I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, hanging out with my family, camping, hiking, golf, cycling, rockhounding/fossils, watching college football (Hook Em’ Horns and Go Cougs!), eating food (especially Texas BBQ), and playing video games.

    Interesting tidbit
I once rode my bicycle from Anacortes, WA to Bar Harbor, ME. I still enjoy mini-bike tours in the Summer.

  • Mr. Cade is NOT the person who handles discipline. A counselor is a person who acts as your advocate! An advocate is someone who want to listen to what you have to say and help you come up with solutions. An advocate supports you. It doesn’t mean Mr. Cade can solve the problem for you; it does mean that you have a safe place that you can go to when you aren’t sure what to do.

    • Ask your teacher to visit with Mr. Cade.
    • If Mr. Cade pulls you from class or you’re part of his counseling schedule.
