    North Carolina's Department of Instruction has a very well put together collection of information and resources to help families understand their students' learning and academic needs. 

  • The Warden School District began using Parentsquare in 2020 for communication with WSD families, students, and staff at the schools, and in the classrooms and groups. ParentSquare provides a simple and safe way for everyone at school to connect. ParentSquare enables users to:

    • Receive all school and classroom communication via email, text or app
    • Have access to your school's documents and pictures/videos that come in your ParentSquare messages
    • Easily sign up to volunteer and/or bring items

    You can use ParentSquare on any device. In the links on the right navigation you can download the free mobile app:

    • Free Children's Stories: Books for ages 3-10 with many available in different languages.

    • Decodable Books: A collection of phonics-based materials for beginning readers.
    • Flyleaf Books: Free books are available that are organized by reading skills.
    • Storyline Online: Features stories narrated by celebrities with new titles added regularly.
    • Wilbooks: "Free Resources" includes access to reading material at no cost for Pre-K to third grade.
